Welcome...

So where do I begin?

Most of you probably know me already but just to explain, this is where you will find out all about me and my adventure. I'm Ali, and in a few weeks I will be packing up my life, finishing my second degree, quitting my job and setting off to see the world and experiencing life without an alarm clock, deadlines, assignments, and paying rent for a leaking house.

Some how my sister Sara has convinced me to let her come with me, but I suppose I will need someone to mind my bags when I pee, take photos of me, hold my hair as I puke in random places from gross food or too much bourbon (sorry Dad, but Sara made me!), carry my pack when my back hurts, fetch me vitamin C when I get a flu, save me from 'window lickers' or other such freaks that want to befriend me on public transport (trust me it happens a lot - although I'm not sure which one of us is the bigger magnet), buy me lunch... actually, now that I think about it... this might have been a good idea after all... *insert evil laugh here*

I will be posting photos, stories about our trip, random thoughts and perhaps some handy hints for those of you planning on travelling yourselves (or some for me to remember for my next trip).

Keep up to date on the adventures of Sara and Ali, have we killed each other yet? Have we gone our separate ways? Who is more annoying today? Who caved in the game of 'you do it', 'no you do it', 'No, YOU DO IT'? Who lost their phone/passport/luggage? Who fell in the river... and who pushed who? Where are we now? Who have we met? Have we learnt anything about geography or history yet or are we still the giggling girls at the back of the tour group?

Wow, the suspense is killing me already...
